Drake’s Virginia Black Whiskey Is Already Breaking Records In Canada
In case you didn’t already know, Drake has gotten into the liquor business.
As if selling out concerts across North America all summer long wasn’t enough, the Canadian rapper is now breaking different types of sales records with his new Virginia Black Whiskey.
He posted this on his Instagram as a humble flex to boast the fact that he and his team are celebrating huge success after launching their product in his home country.
According to the Toronto Star, Virginia Black Whiskey has sold 1,799 bottles on the September 30 launch in just 220 stores. Since then, 4,650 bottles have been sold in Canadian provinces as that number continues to rise by the day.
Drake could probably sell anything in his country and see ridiculous sales, but taking a queue from some of his hip-hop and liquor business predecessors such as Diddy, DJ Khaled, and 50 Cent, he’s showing no shame in promoting his products.
But even Diddy’s Ciroc doesn’t come close to what Drake was able to do, Diddy’s sold 1,855 bottles in its first week of sales in 2015.
Retailing at $39.95 (CAD), people have no problem buying a bottle of Drake-approved Whiskey, especially when he’s always posting about it on his Instagram. Here he was on Jimmy Fallon just a couple months ago trying it for everyone to see. This dude downed that shit!
